>>414146I think the ideal method to make this look as least horrifying as possible (and without cobbling together a ton of hand made animations) is tracking your face to a 3d model instead and run it through a realtime rendering pipeline that downscales, aliases, quantizes, dithers etc. everything down to something like pic related. Wish I had a better example on hand than this pokemon stuff here cause I've seen some anime MVs do that same sort of technique. I just can't for the life of me find it anywhere anymore.
You could probably try to run a live2d setup through a similar pipeline maybe but idk if it'd look any good.
