You may think I am talking about Hololive and Nijisanji but I'm not as I don't follow those companies closely, these are all concerning 2views. Vtubers are the first time I've come across dozens upon dozens of small companies managing tiny little streamers, as I've been watching streaming since before vtubers were even a thing. It's starting to feel depressing instead of "holy shit anime streamers". The ones who want to try hard are getting stamped down by their bosses or canned if they don't perform well, or wondering what did they do wrong when the sudden boost of viewers/subs wanes and they're back to usual or even worse. Kind of breaks my heart. And I don't want to get so invested anymore, at least with company ones.
