It seems like a lot of people enjoyed Sonny's guerilla Minecraft stream today! I definitely thought it was an improvement from his previous Minecraft streams - those streams are usually only interesting if you're interacting with others on the server, you're really good at building, or you turn it into a zatsudan. No one was on the server today and Sonny's got the aesthetic sense of a medieval torture dungeon designer, so we're left with the last option.
He's been a lot more chatty the last few streams, and that clearly carried over to this one; it struck a good balance between chill and not having excessive dead air. I really like this accidental psychopath gap moe bit he's been doing recently, too - he's always had chuuni moments and he's played into it before with things like 'wow that was sad, anyways' at the end of MGR and 'BT? I already forgot who that was' at the end of Titanfall 2. But the whole thing with him casually murdering his horse and then gaslighting his chat about how he totally didn't mean to do it was hilarious, and the follow-ups about his inbred dog-breeding facility were great, too. Wish he didn't have to clarify it was all jokes, since it's way more funny when you play these things completely straight.
I've noticed he tends to run out of steam a bit later in the stream and ends up relying a bit more on cute noises for content, but he still had some pretty funny moments slowly losing his mind over zombies hiding in his walls and trying to tame untameable foxes. All in all, I enjoyed this stream and it was definitely a huge step up from his first Minecraft stream, which I didn't enjoy at all.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk. I don't want to think about all the thirsty superchats from this stream. At least he told off chat for barking.
