I'd like to address one of the points that stood out to me last night, not merely on the merit of the power behind the statement but in the unflinching truth of it all. Neatly tucked into Lia's beautiful tirade on withholding her own academic supports that she might spare the opportunity of gainful employment to another she rightfully struck the point of doing things for one's self. Namely how over rated it is. Lia's right. She is better than average. That much should be self evident from the position she occupies in society whether or not there is any personal merit to her having achieved these heights in her time. She doesn't rig or draw her own model or do her own work because she doesn't have to. She has people for that and she has money to have those kind of things taken care of for her. She's simply just another breed and the sooner you embrace this inherent power dynamic in the interaction the sooner you can begin to properly enjoy the generosity and kind heartedness that she extends to us by sharing any amount of time she could better invest elsewhere. Don't forget access to malware is a privilege that can be taken away and you'd only be harming yourself to conceive of any way to break the implicit trust Lia has in you to disclose her sparkling personality.
