One is that the West, particularly America, doesn't have the same "idol culture" as Japan does. The closet we got are like pop stars and boy/girl bands.
Japan's idol culture likes a lot of idols. Like, a ton. Just pouring out of everywhere. They very much into that quantity. Meanwhile, the West doesn't look for that same overwhelming amount of quantity with their popstars. Not saying they're after quality, just that they aren't so keen to follow so many, unlike Japan.
That is part of why I think Myth was so incredibly successful and Council has absolutely trudged on.
Another part is the personalities. Council is made up almost entirely of chill-streamers, with RATT being the possible exception. There's just not the variety with this gen. They each on their own aren't bad, but introducing a gen of the same type was a really poor move. Why Kronii is the biggest of them I'm unsure. Maybe because she's got a sultry vibe in addition?
I honestly think they'll be fine. They'll be like Aki or Mel - just very slow in gaining a following, but they'll continue to gain.
