So many people nowadays have this unrealistic view that people in relationships are meant to be like cinderella and prince charming where we are these awesome people living in these noble castles and destined for greatness and yada yada yada. Yet we never consider the human aspect of it all. We're not amazing. 9 times out of 10 we're just ordinary people trying to get by. Most relationships are going to have problems. Nothing in life is perfect, yet we cope with it by trying so hard to project a better picture of ourselves than what we can maintain. Sometimes trying to improve yourself is a good thing, but at the end of the day we're all still ordinary, boring people. Why should we change what we are happy with to put on this miserable face only to end up with someone who is doing the exact same? What's the point of pursuing a fake life if it only makes you depressed? Why do we expect others to do the same? Be cringe. Be free.
