I know ER is an open world game but it's like watching a Let's Play of a game and episode 8 out of 12 episodes is missing. It just feels jarring to some people, especially when some fans get invested in how passionate Mori is about this game
I'm saying this as someone who enjoyed the entire ER run up until this point with minimal complaints. The Sandler stuff didn't even bother me that much because the net enjoyment I was getting from this run was great.
