By luck I had come into contact with their now former manager they stayed close with.
She had informed me that the two were studying very diligently to pass an exam and reminded me that since they were doing their best, I should be doing my best as well. I thought it would be too forward to inquire further but I was satisfied to know they found a calling to commit to. Still, I selfishly hoped beyond hope that I might be able to meet them again later in life when I could be more capable of showing my appreciation for all the good things they had showed me. Unfortunately half of my wish didn't come true. Fortunately it's the part I have more control over.
All this to say, even if our Fairy watching habit will soon cease, a day may come where we may be more delighted than we could believe.
