>>74258529>who can't comprehend the concept that a *decelerating* car isn't "getting faster" just because it is still, in fact, movingAnon, this isn't what I said and it isn't analogous to the way Gura streams. Acceleration would be the second order derivative in your line analogy, but you weren't talking about that in any of your previous posts. You were talking about a first order derivative, i.e. the slope of the curve. "Acceleration" in this case is the change in that slope over time, so in other words, if she starts streaming more and increases that frequency, then that is positive acceleration. But even that doesn't speak to the overall direction of a curve.
If you really want a car analogy, look at it this way:
If I'm traveling at 40 mph and I decelerate by 4 mph and then accelerate by 3 mph and conitinue repeating that every 30 seconds, what's going to happen over time?
These aren't difficult concepts to understand and since you said you took pre calc and calculus, I figured you would be able to follow along.
Since the very beginning of this conversation many posts ago, my very initial claim was that things are not getting better over time. I posted a chart from last year showing that her output was similar or even better back then than it was this year, despite being less busy and traveling less this year.
Your argument that "well she improved over last week" or "she improved over last month" or whatever other dumbass thing you meant is irrelevant. We also thought things were drastically improving back in August last year and then look what happened.
The important picture IS the big picture. Even if we are aproaching an incline in output, unless things change long term, we are and will remain in a downward trajectory. The fall is not some base level of shitiness, but instead the result of her continued decline over time.
Saying that data from 1 or 2 years ago is irrelevant is completely disingenuous and shows a level of purposeful ignorance on your part. Why shouldn't the way she used to be be considered when talking about her streaming output? Why are we supposed to just forget the way things used to be, acording to you?
Anon, you're being incredibly thick headed with your analysis of the tilted sine wave analogy. I said that it is similar to Gura's stream output. I did not say that her output follows the graph. No one is saying that she is following some mathematical formula in order to determine when she streams. That is ridiculous. The tilted sine graph behaves in a way similar to the graph of her streaming output over time.
The point wasn't to aproximate an actual function, but to give you an idea of the concepts being discussed. Gura often comes back and increases her output for a while before slowing down or disappearing, however, the overall trend is towrads zero. That graph behaves similar to the tilted sine wave and that is why I used it as an example.
By the way, when this graph was made, the projected time that Gura would stop streaming was May 2023. It ended up being pretty close.
