i know we've already had a meltdown on another health-related topic just a day ago but when some sham medicine has a nonzero chance of actually hurting my wife you bet i'm gonna be buttblasted about it

what is placebo (or some short-term effect caused by the pain-inhibiting chemicals released by the body in response the skin ruptures, doesn't really matter)
