>>15413076As with all problems I blame Americans, and the British. A lot just can't stand accents outside an occasional novelty. On UK tv everyone has to sound like they're from the south. Weird inflections of mispronouncing words just sets them off after a while. Same with a window into other cultures. Unless you luck out and your culture is in right now, they want familiar and relatable.
Most Europeans don't see to mind much, and really there are enough US and UK people who would see the appeal in it. But hey I don't blame someone going for mass appeal to try and fit in with the rest.
