A vtuber is literally a person pretending to be an anime character, with varying amounts of leak through of their true selves in that character. There is enough of a screen that I don't particularly give a shit if the person behind the anime girl is in a relationship. Especially since I view them as entertainers rather than idols or relationship surrogates.
Knowing that Tom Cruise is a fucking Scientologist doesn't detract from me enjoying whatever character he's playing in the mission impossible movies
