following alongside the posts in these threads, the biggest thing that makes holos stand out is that they stop acting like indies or were not like your typical indie in the first place. unfortunately this is false for holostars EN but thats besides the point
they're focused on developing an actual brand through their personality and content but also has to look good for the company as well which results in genuine effort to follow a bunch of guidelines that have already been decided would be good for the brand in the first place, while indies generally go fast and loose doing whatever they feel like and sorta just expect viewers to gravitate towards them with little marketing and little focus so most indies are carried entirely by an anarchic display of a decent personality and not necessarily something more focused and aimed towards hitting people's weakspots. this is also why people say holo feels fake sometimes
