Talents still need exposure. Like there is a vsinger who went from 40k subs to 62k subs (and climbing) in just a few days (after stagnating for a whole year), because somehow people got to watch an average clip of her singing, and realize she's the real deal. It also shows a single truth: people are very lazy when it comes to discovering talents outside their comfort zone, even if they only need one clip to be convinced.
