I would recommend dropping it once you reach the real fuckery (Kanji) because it's slow and especially awful for learning grammar and the different tones of conversation

mainly just try to branch out and try to find a method that helps things stick, don't just stick to duolingo, rosetta stone, etc. because you will eventually stagnate
