Most people do NOT have egos so insanely massive that they get mad when chat helps them out a little during a tough part.
It depends. If a streamer is having chat play the game for them, then there's no point. But if they've been stuck on something for a long time and at that point it has stopped being fun for chat to watch, I have no issue with asking for help. There's a difference between someone being stuck on a level for an hour and finally asking for help and a streamer looking at chat every 3 seconds so they know where to go.
