Is there any other single trait that affects the viability of a vtuber more than gender? I am having a hard time thinking of anything that comes close. The closest thing I can think of is being a mute chuuba, but I think even in cases like like that the average mute text-to-speech chuuba presenting as female with a female model probably has better chances than your normal every day male chuuba.
I've specifically gone looking several times for female chuubas who are stuck at permanent 1-2 ccv. Its actually rather difficult to find any on twitch by looking at the vtuber tag and sorting from least to most views. Most of the females you find using this method are false positives, either a female who just started their stream which ends up quickly going to at least high single digits, or a babi/badly passing tranny, or a female who either streams less than once a week or just debuted a month or two ago. Of the very few that I have found that truly seem stuck at 1-2 ccv based on their stats, I can only describe them as incredibly unpleasant people to be around. The type of people that just suck the joy out of the room, depressed and pathetic but also horrible enough that even the small amount of people who would like to give them pity views cant bring themselves to spend any real amount of time in their stream. I usually try to talk to these people, but almost immediately regret saying even a basic hello.
