>>84553833Garbage, everyone always wants to trade for them online because they all thought it sounded cool and found out they didn't like it.
They work in bad breath distance I guess like for a snake gun but past it's just not good. 410 wasn't ever considered a defensive round and surely was never intended to be shot out of such a short barrel.
Even with a good 410 load the Judge's total energy dump is still far less than a single 357 round. For the overall length you could get a GP100 with a longer barrel and one or two more rounds (they have 6 and 7 shot).
>see picI'd also avoid Taurus in general anyway. Old stuff is okay and I've heard the newest is pretty good (past two years or so IIRC) but in general they just feel much cheaper than Colt, S&W, Ruger, Dan Wesson, Kimber, etc.
If you want a shotgun, get a shotgun, if you want a revolver, get a revolver. Don't get something that sucks at both.
>>84554047>the reliability reputation is fuddloreIt is. There is a saying that they handle neglect well but abuse poorly. I always forget who said that, some trainer.
There's some truth to it but people think autos can't run dry like a revolver can. They also don't think carbon fouling under the extractor as an issue in a revolver either.
With an auto when you malfunction it's typically solved pretty easily, even if it's persistent like a bad mag or extractor causing feed or ejection issues.
With a revolver if you malfunction it's usually pretty extreme. If the cylinder doesn't wanna turn or release you go to the gunsmith. If a case got under the extractor it's a hassle and a half. If the bullet jumped crimp you're also SOL
Still, there's nothing more fun to me in a handgun than shooting six DA shots, reloading with a speed-loader and dumping six more on steel.
By comparison autos are just dull, it's like driving a stick shift. I realize in this day and age an auto transmission is much more reliable and gas efficient than they used to be... but there's something about the connection to the car with a clutch pedal and shifting gears through a stick that gives you an experience you just can't get on an automatic. Same as with an auto pistol.
>>84554874I've got a couple of 1st gen Colt SAAs chambered in 32-20, can't say they have ever worked while in my possession though (inherited)
