As for what she's staying in Japan for a couple months? Time off. It takes time to get a model made. Mata was gone for 4 months between Niji and VShojo, and she admitted that a lot of that time she was bored out of her mind. She probably gave Pomu advice on something to do since the vast majority of that time was spent waiting on art and rigging to be done. School is the perfect excuse to burn 3 months of time.
