Decades ago, there was a class action lawsuit against this housing firm that through fraudulent means, gaves veterans and people in military services barely functioning "houses". Often very thin walls with little to no insulation, and the foundation and basic frames were designed to start falling apart within a year or two. Not to mention the cockroaches.
After the class action suit was launched, little by little people starting falling off one by one. Phone lines were being tapped into, windows being rattled, slashed tires, poisoned dogs (if they were outside), and other forms of intimidation.
Point is, unless they really want to go at it hard and expect some serious alternate back-up to intimidate the home owners, don't expect the internet situation to magically get resolved by the landowner.
