Because of the nature of fanfiction, this thread generally picks up activity when things are OK and everybody is in love/happy with vtubers (and therefore desire more and more content), and tanks when there's general disappointment and drama (and disillusioned people don't want to hear anything about chuubas, nevermind make content).
The thing is the latter state is fleeting - Hololive and vtubing in general have had a lot more good days than bad, so allowing the thread to die and the culture to be lost just because we've had one rough month would be very stupid.
