Lord of the Board update time.
Aesthetics are almost completely done, we're finalizing the details on a couple of reps, but all 50 are complete for the most part. Come hell or high water, we'll be finished within 48 hours. After that, I'm going to do a pass of the other details to make sure everything's fine. Exhibition Matches will be finalized by Friday, which means the full card will be completed by Friday.
>When's the event? This is pending stream issues, schedule conflicts, and other complications, but the current target time is early June for the actual event. We're finalizing certain things like scheduling, which isn't directly in our control, but that timeframe seems pretty likely.
>Commentary? There will be live commentary and promos between matches, presented by the streamer. Currently the plan is to not have shot-for-shot voice commentary during the tournament matches, but to play music and have text commentary during the first two days. We will ATTEMPT to book live color commentary for one, if not both, of the latter two days. If we can, we'll try to book commentary for all Exhibition matches as well.
>I want to make a promo. You guys got footage or something? Some unlisted test streams will be done to ensure all settings are good before the actual event. We will be using these test streams to generate footage. You can request footage for us to generate using this form:
https://forms.gle/vpu3RVSmFk6hnj879Another form to submit the promos will open closer to the event.
In case you're wondering about deadlines or not knowing what matches are on the card, all Exhibition Matches will be finalized at least 3 weeks before the event is scheduled.
>Wait, roll that back. You said "first two" and "latter two".That's right, Lord of the Board will be a 4-day event, spanning 2 weeks. No less than 47 matches of people punching and slamming each other to be the best damn thread on this godforsaken hellscape of a board.
But who cares about all that, let's talk about the Tag Teams.
Given the nature of how few exhibition slots we have to work with, we have opted to not repoll for tag teams. There's enough built stables using the existing submissions to make some good collabs happen. In the future, there may be a mini-event of just tag matches. Or maybe LotB2 will just be tag teams. Who knows?
Anyway, I know a bunch of you are numberfags, so we're gonna book the two most popular threads against each other in a competition for The People's Champion: /lig/ and /pcg/, both of who were requested by 9 other threads each as a tag partner. We're done tabling the discussion on who is the most ubiquitous thread on /vt/, so these two are going to throw down to settle the score or waste 5 hours bickering.
More updates to come in the next couple of days. Keep an ear out and don't KWAB.
I will now take your burning questions about my opinions on tomatoes
they're good.
