The thing is, niches are subjective and smaller than general market appeal, which normally just requires leeching and networking to get there.
Regardless, being Hololive or Nijisanji Lite isn't a real niche in the west because nobody actually likes Hololive or Nijisanji EN. Their entire appeal was sourced from their superior Japanese counterparts, all they had to do to succeed was show up.
