>>79904654Pachelbel was actually quite popular during his lifetime and fell into complete obscurity soon after his death beyond some of his organ works remaining in the repertoire of South German churches. It's only in the 1960's and 70's that classical musicians rediscovered Canon in D Major just in time for all the big pop musicians to copy it. His Chaconne in F Minor is quite fun:
