Frankly I don't blame ACE or Hiramatsu for going in that direction since there's a reason it's a cliche in the first place. Same goes for Mitsuda + Abounnasr with their usual samey orchestral tracks.
I do like Mor Ardain quite a bit especially when it breaks into the jazzy piano section around the end of the loop, I just think in general Torna is a much more concise soundtrack
because every track has very strong jazz influences. I think Xeno 3 also leans more in that direction but I'm waiting on the soundtrack to be released to actually listen to it.
I'll leave it at this though since I don't want to keep filling up the thread with autistic video game music discussion
