My main problem with subathons now is that the entire concept of the timer has been completely perverted beyond repair. They just set it to whatever increments they want and people donate 10k subs and they have 500 hours on the clock that they will never feasibly run down. The whole threat of "oh no the stream will end how far will we make it?????" is so superficial and fake with vtuber oilers.
Would be a lot better to just set sub goals and set aside time to stream semi-long hours everyday or something to reach them.
