I don't want to dwell too much on why I think the vocals aren't the best since I don't even know if I could express it right, but I don't really think it's that bad of a thing out of a vacuum either. Maybe the timing was right for a more powerful song, specially after Agape, but it's become much easier for them to produce original songs now, even more so for Kanata who's capable of doing the composing herself. There's value in spreading her wings to try out different things while the door is open. It's probably not going to be one of my favorite orisons, but this is the third time out of three I was surprised by a kanata orison breaking my expectations, and only the first time I didn't immediately love the song, and who knows, it can still grow on me. I'd say that's better than getting three gloomy generic vocaloid-inspired rock pieces with a really long powerful note in the middle to show off her lung capacity (please give me a song like that too btw), which she could have easily done if she just went for the obvious.
