Losing in other games isn't as bad because there was always something that is easy to understand that you did wrong. Losing in fighting games means you have to go through an entire manual of knowledge to see what specific frame you lost on then you just get juggled to death because you already used your one burst. If I'm being shot at in a shooter, I know, intuitively to hide. If you do a crouching light attack after blocking an attack you can still get hit even if it's supposed to be one of the fastest moves in the game. Why? Because their attack might be safe on block or some other unintuitive bullshit that forces you to sit there and continuously try to block high and low because the only useful thing in your arsenal to counter them is to use a light attack but it either doesn't reach or they are still safe so you can never regain control of the match because all of your other moves are too slow to do anything with and I just fucking hate all of it
