>>69068141After you're treated and no longer in medical danger, you're placed on an M1 hold for a psych evaluation. You'll be forced to remain in the hospital, typically in an isolated room with almost nothing in it aside from your bed (particularly violent or mentally ill people will be strapped and restrained to said bed) and be forced to meet with doctors while they assess if you're going to be a danger to yourself or others again. They'll recommend treatment (therapy, antidepressants, etc) and eventually you are discharged, typically into the care of family.
