>>20492196Another thing I was thinking along these lines is that, while ShishiLamy controlling the one straight looks like they hold enormous power, there are certain choke points a nation could hold that would counter theirs. Worst case scenario we get into a tariff war and kill the trade. However the possibility of there being a war in the first place proves simply holding the straight aren't the keys to the sea trade. By just the threat of policing and taxing these points here we can work out a friendly deal between us to relax the taxes.
As for the two straight option there's no downside however I simply think it's geography looks unappealing. Stories of braving the "schizo straight" do sound appealing however.
