YT also made archiving a lot more uncomfortable in the Neal era, by rotating cookies and aggressively blacklisting IPs. I got around the rotating cookies but the IP blacklists really tired me out, and I already had conservative polling rates. That's why I don't wanna do it from my home IP. VPNs are an OK but not perfect temporary fix
and interfered with other shit I was using the server for to justify the cost to myself. If you gonna do it from home, set up a VM or box that is permanently on it and pray they don't start banning the end points of your provider.
