>>76209849The Shining is pretty good outside some minor issues. Mostly nitpicks about the visions elements and their placements sometimes making the pacing confusing, like I understand what's going on but I feel like I gotta look at a timeline summary before bookclub for refreshers. Oh and the obvious redrum thingy. Feels like there would've been a better way to do it that would keep it ominous instead of obvious. Like the Tom Riddle thing in HP actually being pretty clever. Otherwise it's pretty great and I kind of feel like it would do well in the modern day as a mini-movie style TV series because the movie misses out on a lot and changes a lot of things even if it's pretty good in it's own way
