I have had an incredibly frustrating week. I am not going to re-enumerate all the Kiki issues because we have all been facing those
Wanted to clean my apartment last weekend, instead I spent the entire weekend failing to figure out how to add a textured block to minecraft using kubejs. All of the guides are out of date and I still have no clue
Make 4 butt dials and butt set 2 10 min timers throughout the day monday
About a month ago I was having issues with my costco card and in the process of fixing it they accidentally renewed it (less then a month after I had renewed it properly) and then refunded me for the renewal, tried to get gas on my way home from work monday and it said my card had expired. had to spend maybe half an hour at the front desk but they "fixed" it...
As I didnt do dishes my Kiki cups got moldy
Woke up yesterday to a flat tire so I had to put on the spare to drive to work
Sprained my finger while putting on the spare
New personnel manager started and there is a good chance I will be moved to having him sign my time card. I like my current guy because he is chill but this new guy got the job because he is a personal friend of my current guy so we will see. Upper manager went around and introduced him to everyone besides me because that upper manager doesnt respect the terms of my employment that he decided on
for context, there is a major duty of my job that is incredibly monotonous, I have wanted to automate it since I started but everyone kept telling me not to bother we already have a tool to do it automatically it is just too hard to use and we really want you to know how to do the job manually because you have to do it manually if there is ever an audit, this line has been repeated soo many times that no one still working here as ever actually tried to use the tool, I tried to get it running and realised that it has stopped working due to other programs updating, so I coded my own, it took me an hour to have something that worked and 2 more to have something that worked better than the tool we previously had and as I wrote this I can improve it even further. In a meeting with my supervisor his supervisor and the Project manager, my supervisor, who is 2 years out of uni but has been working here for those 2 years and the Project manager likes him so he is a supervisor called that tool "a stop gap measure untill we can fix the old tool"
I had to explain to the Software TOOLS Lead of a flagship product at a company you have likely heard of before how to use the --squash flag on git merge because he was worried that the fact that I commited (saved) multiple times a day to a branch that was only on my own copy of the repo would bloat the file size of the repo as a whole.
couldnt deal with things so I went home early
Got home and saw a silverfish for the first time in a few weeks (since this I have seen 2 more)
so I sprayed indoor/outdoor pesticide around the wall that it was on, breathed in a ton of it and felt like my lungs were slowly shutting down for a few hours
BILLS WERE DUE
see an email from my apartment complex (sent at 5pm on the day rent is due) saying that they are cutting off ties with the online payment site they were using and effective the 7th you will have to pay bills using checks. (Today they had to send out a clarification today the day after rent was due that this bill could still be payed online)
Decide to work from home a bit to make up some of the hours, stay up until 2am last night doing brain dead shit I had to do
