Like feeling light with your sense of touch, or a unique kind of tingling. If UV emissions start climbing before a flare, that could be a nice way to sense one is coming. Proper UV vision might be more useful in a world orbiting a blue star, where a large portion of the light is UV. Maybe you could have an atmosphere that blocks a lot of the visible spectrum, but lets more UV through? Relative to Earth's atmosphere, at least.
