The corps might have to pay 1-2% more to increase the so-called "starvation" wages and comply with other demands, but otherwise the execs will come out practically unscathed, and at the same time, the writers will be even MORE empowered to churn out the shit they already do. In fact, they'll feel vindicated to produce worse things.
The execs aren't shaking in their boots right now. They're just being obstinate. A deal satisfactory to these unions won't curb their powers in any meaningful way. It's akin to millionaires being total karens over a few extra dollars on their dinner bill. Even if they eventually have to fork them out, it won't change their behaviour.
