>>94684331>>94686298It's funny you mention that this week. I just set aside a corner of the apartment for getting my Stronglifts 5x5 routine back up. (After about a year of sedentary life) I picked Stronglifts back during covid because it was on the /fit/ sticky and it's a very simple beginner routine.
Don't forget that food, and sleep are part of it too. (Stay away from processed foods and especially sugar. About the same time I picked up weightlifting, I came across a Youtube nutritionist who said that hunger is satiated by 3 things: glucose levels, micronutrients, and expansion of the stomach. A lot of processed foods like chips are easy to eat and still leave you feeling hungry)
Some further motivation: Muscle mass will help you a lot when you get older, because if you're weak now, what you have will atrophy when you get to 70. So if you don't exercise you'll be bedridden when you get older, but if you're muscular in your youth you'll only lose vanity gains. I threw pic related together after watching the following video (and I think I saw a similar chart on another video somewhere I can't remember), and it really clicked that muscles were important for overall health and not just looks:
