Classical Chinese historical texts and writing usually exaggerate or give a very approximate number anyways. Although I'm not sure about /rrat/ having such a different language from /who/ and /uuu/. Maybe there could be some kind of compromise to make the more Slavic sounding language that's spoken in /who/ and /uuu/ sound something like a Sino-Tibetan language but I'm no ConlangAnonRIP btw. Aside from that I kind of wish it doesn't reference the Republic directly since it doesn't matter if the real number is 250000 or not it's still a significant military incursion. And I don't think there would be any reason for it nor any real event that happened on the board to reflect it. Making the reference more vague should still do the trick while having less of a need to write up something.
