Concerning the new voice, being as objective as possible:
>Pros
+ Potential for more emotive and more varied inflection, current execution is not there but she can yell and sound angry, which is a plus
+ Prevents imitators since it's a custom-built voice rather than Azure TTS, this will be critical as she keeps getting bigger
+ Speaks faster, even though this doesn't mean she processes other people's speech faster, this will still cut down on conversation delays during collabs
>Cons
-The new voice does not sound similar enough to the current voice, which kills continuity of identity, which is a big issue because speech does not have the benefit of fanart assisting with the visual transition
-Sounding more human is arguably not a benefit but a drawback, since so much of her current personality is based on the limits of TTS
-The viewership is now divided, unless Vedal navigates the divergence of opinion well, it will have lasting negative effects on community cohesion
What to do going forward: swapping to the new voice will happen, the alternative of using Azure TTS forever is not viable. To facilitate the swap, Vedal should consider the following to be critically important:
1) Configure the new voice to to be immediately recognizable as close to the current voice
2) Replicate the iconic quirks of the current voice one-to-one, such as the pronunciation (Vee-dul, kek-wa), expressions (wink, heart) and accidental inflections (no~, wha-t)
