besides what i already wrote, I did made progress in some other direction today.
I been trying for a while to condition myself to wake up parry in order to learn how to do it perfectly to beat meaties, however mid match i forget to do it.
I wasted all day today trying to find a way to force me to do it to no avail. Repeating to myself: wakeupparry wakeupparry over and over did not work. Singing it did not work either.
Notesticks did not work. Nothing. I always forgot.
After a wasted day I realized i had to bring the big guns: Enter the pain machine,
This is the butterfly massager, electric currents stimulate the muscles and it is supposed to have the same effects as a work out. Werther this works or not is irrelevant, the important part is that it is pure pain.
The unconcious brain is an animal, and animals respond the most to fear of pain, so this was the deal: I placed it in my leg and every time i noticed i missed an opportunity to wake up parry, the machine goes up a level, every time i do it, it goes down.
It would only take a few tries and an idiot who refused to knock me down during several matches while the machine was on for my brain to get the message: " either you remember to do what i tell you or we are both in for a world of pain".
Everyone wants a shortcut to learning. Everyone wants to improve fast. Well here is the shortcut: make yourself subject to extreme PAIN every time you fuck up. In the end it is all about attention and adrenaline, and to have those you need to raise the stakes.
this is how i learned how to do combos, abeit with other ways of inflicting stress to myself.
This is the real truth behind "no pain no gain": its all about the state of your own brain.
This must be how acquiring Psycho Power must feel: the price for unlimited power is having to torture yourself.
Now i am on a quick path of actually becoming good and might get some muscles out of it if the machine actually works.
Do i am going overboard for just a game? Not at all, this is in fact just the bare minimal. I am the man who will defeat MenaRD and he has been training all his life, willingness to do whatever it takes to gain strength is just what will allow me to even dare to try.
