So I was on my couch right, sitting there and firing up my Switch to play Pokemon. I'm minding my own business, running through an area, when I stumble upon a Ralts. Now, I haven't caught any before, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to start getting some of it's pokedex logs done. I go up to this Ralts, not bothering to sneak as I have a pretty good ball I think will do the trick regardless of stealth, and try my hand at catching it. Sure enough, the ball I was using worked fine and I caught my first Ralts in Legends Arceus. Pretty cool, since Gardevoir is one of the cooler Sinnoh Pokemon. It's moves aren't anything to write home about, but it does have a cool ability. It's the one that let's it copy another Pokemon's ability in battle. I was pretty satisfied with it, and I was about to start running around the area I was in again to see what other stuff I could find. All of a sudden, my living room window basically explodes inward into my living room. The weight of whatever came crashing through my apartment hit me like a truck, knocking me off my couch and pinning me to the floor. My adrenaline surges as I try to breath, my lungs not cooperating. I look up, and staring down at me, knife in hand and poised to strike, is none other than the one-woman death squad cyborg herself, Saruei. Her eyes were sharper than her dagger. She shouted random surnames at me like 'Putin' and 'Dumas'. I couldn't make heads nor tails of it, and I thought I was about to meet my end. She brings her blade in close, but instead of slashing my neck she draws a shallow cut along my cheek. Before long, my struggling stops as I'm unable to move. My would-be assassin gets off from on top of me, turning toward my Switch controller that was knocked across the floor. She grabs it, quickly opening the menus in game and finding my Pokemon storage. She wastes no time in deleting that Ralts I had just caught. And then? She just leaves. Hops back out the window and scales up my building. I spend 2 hours there on my floor, unmoving in a cold sweat, before it dawns on me. That Ralts' ability?
Trace.
