On the other hand, and I can't find it right now, a quote from the game "The Cat Lady" still sits on top of my psyche. The protag has a friend named Mitzi who will pass away soon from her body giving up on her and the protag has a moment of clarity and says to herself; "She's trying so hard to live and I just want to die."
In the end Mitzi inspires the protag to keep going, in live or spirit, and I think that's sweet.
Sometimes people just need a shoulder to cry on, but you can want to live or want to die all you want, it's your body that will decide and it's up to you to make what you can with the time you are here.
