you do understand that things will only be as imaginative as you make them right. If you can't make an imaginative male design, you just aren't an imaginative person, simple as.
I'll tell you why male designs are shit and that's because outside of actual professionals, males can't do character design. If you make a "goth loli" character it'll probably still be ugly as fuck because you're a guy and you don't know what looks good or bad, and get aesthetic beauty mixed up with whatever gets your little dick hard
