She always alters her model, recolors it, adds assets, etc. To be honest, I don't mentally associate Eimi with her lab outfit a lot, since she's often using other things on top. However, her hair is iconic, that yellow hair, and bun/ponytail. As long as that exists, you can basically put her in any other outfit, and yep, that's Eimi.
Also, well, the cosplayer wants to show off her body, so it's kinda hot and she gets the horny pass.
