we did get budget cuts here with subsequent botched reorganizations
but if you look in details the whole thing is already rotten, for a 12k student uni we have 500 FTEs for "marketing" and like 300 FTEs for "building management", neither of which are ever seen or heard from, the only thing they do is forward emails to subcontractors
that money going to a bottomless pit can erase the cuts more than tenfold
