YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL. You are not uniquely undeserving of self-love and patience. There is nothing so extraordinary of you that the basic things a human being desires don't apply to you as well. You are not some one in ten trillion failure. Even if you were a modest failure you would still deserve to not feel guilt over literally everything. And you would be a dogshit human being if you ever treated ANYONE else as poorly as you treat yourself. The obscenity of the double standard which you hold yourself to versus everyone else is a form of pride; thinking about yourself more (as opposed to the more common meaning of thinking more about yourself) and literally functions to create a rift between you and others; which is why you're so fucking bad at receiving compliments and accepting the love and consideration other people have for you. You aren't treating yourself like a human, you're treating yourself like a superhuman with superhuman standards that you would NEVER ask of anyone else. I mean, for christ's sake, you're CONSTANTLY making excuses for people who hurt you despite your frankly excessive efforts at clear communication because you WANT to believe their intentions are good. And then you blame yourself for not having superhuman communication skills! What about your own good intentions, you fucking idiot? Are you gonna lie to your own fucking face and sace you're uniquely bad-intentioned compared to everyone else, too? What about giving yourself grace from understanding YOUR limitations for once in your fucking life? Why does everyone else get a million chances while you barely get one? JUST. FUCKING. WORK. WITH.
