Maybe have it told from the perspective of someone who isn't a major fan of Vtubers who ends up getting approached by or meeting the Room-mates who are trying to figure out what's going on and how to wrangle their Avatars into either being contained or forming a compromise. For a deeper plot, don't just make it a regular rogue Ai responsible. Have it be extraterrestrial or representative of super-conscious aspects of Human aspects.
