A couple years ago I got into UC and capped it off as the last in a long marathon, and I thought it was a perfect end to early UC.
If you have any sympathy for the lost princess of Zeon I think she steals the show, along with a surviving Puru, making it one of the most hopeful and sympathetic Zeon series in the entire UC. The villain is hit or miss (I thought he was intelligent but using Char's likeness opens the can of worms), and I really can't vouch for the MC on the other hand.
Watched the OVA version of course.
