I think ultimately they didn't gain schizos from /pmg/, they just got annoyed with the antis which was probably just 2-3 anons who wanted the thread to be only about all the janky looking lewdtubers plus Mel, Mira and Moka. When /vt/ was created eventually /vsj+/ ended up being okay. The beginning had a lot of shit from Holofags, and jannies did not give a shit about how bad those threads used to be but eventually /vsj+/ was great... right up until the Arcadum situation.
Then it got a bit rocky but was still usable, and that was around the time the + in the name was relevant because most of the VShojo talents were out of commission so people would talk about Saruei who was a hot new thing at the time, as well as Vienna, Snuffy (who was really burnt out) and Bao and maybe a few others like Lumituber and Tob. Then the thread persevered with good quality until Mousey's neverending subathon which also had the whole "Babegate" thing. That was a rough patch and /lig/ was made shortly after.
Now /vsj+/ seems pretty chill. They have cringy infighting but not nearly as bad as /jidf/ or /pcg/ and since they don't have 200 on-topic vtubers like /lig/ it seems a little less cutthroat with the "my oshi > your oshi" type of posters. Also Henya and Matara are super good chuubas which I wish VShojo had back in 2021.
