I like to think Shu tells his lore the way the does to "avoid" talking about whatever truly happened. I even remember there was this small mention in his birthday about him being the reason everyone was isekai'd, so that can add up, and probably a quilldren would know best about Ike being an Eldritch creature who-is-also-connected to Shu somehow.
There are so many possibilities and not enough lore-centric content TT TT
