I've seen so many indies break into the scene and become successful on their own. Meanwhile my youtube subscription feed is filled with 5-6 digit subscriber corpo vtuber channels who get double-digit or low three-digit viewers. One corpo girl I watch has been there for about 3 years, tens of thousands of subscribers, yet struggles to hit more than 200 viewers (on a good day).
I really think corpo's are a fucking scam and I don't know why anyone joins them. Unless it's Hololive you are probably better off just being indie (and then try to join Hololive)
